Trout and Steelhead Schools

Schools are a great opportunity to learn more about fishing here on the Pere Marquette River, get some time on the water with one of our excellent Orvis-endorsed guides, and make connections with other fishy folks.

Included in the school: Two nights stay at the lodge, two lunches and a half day guide trip.

Cost:

Double Occupancy: $565 a person

Single Occupancy: $600

No Lodging: $460

 

Friday:

♦  6:00 – 7:00 pm – meet and greet at the lodge

Saturday:

♦  9:00 am – power point presentation on trout and steelhead

♦  10:00 am – on the water learning casting technique and how to read the water

♦  1:30 pm – lunch at the lodge

♦  2:00 – 3:30 pm – fly basics, knot tying and classroom instruction

♦  3:30 pm – class ends and a good time to hit the river to try out what you’ve learned

Sunday

♦  9:00 am – half day guide trip

♦  2:00 pm – back at the lodge and lunch

♦  Class is complete – leave with the new knowledge about Michigan trout
