Orvis-Endorsed Trout Fishing and Fly Casting Schools

Our Trout Fishing and Fly Casting Schools are aimed at introducing beginners to the world of flyfishing in a fun and enjoyable setting. Right on the banks of the famous Pere Marquette River you learn from FFF Certified instructors. Because of our setting, we can offer you the opportunity to put theory into practice and test your skills on the river! These Orvis-Endorsed schools are the finest Learn-to-Flyfish opportunities available anywhere.

The Trout Fishing and Fly Casting Schools are comprehensive hands-on programs, teaching everything from basic flycasting techniques to advanced nymphing for inactive trout. The last day of the school, we split up, two to a boat, and take a guided trip on the Pere Marquette River. Here you can practice what you learned and hopefully be rewarded with a trout at the end of the line.

Included in the School:

• Lodging for two nights, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday, breakfast and lunch on Sunday.
• All tackle.
• Classroom session on Friday Evening, casting session on Saturday, on stream fishing with instructor on Saturday evening, and all day guided fishing on Sunday!

• Trout Streamer School----Learn how to catch big fish with big flies. These fish are hungry during the spring, crashing bait fish against the banks. Our guide staff will show you how to pursue these fish. (May 7,8,9 )

• Trout School----This entry level school will show you all the basic casting techniques, and fishing tactics so you can catch the fish of a lifetime. And, for the women out there who want to treat themselves to a great little vacation. We are offering a woman's only school.

Spring and late summer overnight float trips on the Pere Marquette and the Upper Manistee Rivers. Float with a guide, smacking streamers against the bank for large aggressive Brown Trout, or let a hopper drift lazily aside the boat in late summer for great surface action on browns and rainbows. Our guides will provide some great gourmet meals along the rivers edge. Everything will be provided call for details. Must have groups of a least four clients, two in a boat. ($695 per boat for 2days trip)
