and son tandem have developed a deserved reputation as experts in
fly fishing for trout. Many books and countless articles have showcased
their talents, and now they are here to share their knowledge with
you in a hands-on and on-stream flyfishing
school.

Friday Night: Meet
and talk with Gary and Jason, learn key terms for successful flyfishing.
See how down to Earth these flyfishing celebrities truly are.
Saturday AM: Learn
about flies, leaders, presentation, and more. Gary and Jason will
lead a hands-on session on flycasting where you will learn proper
casting techniques.
Saturday PM: On
the stream with Gary and Jason. Here you will learn not-in-the-abstract
but HANDS ON WITH YOUR FEET WET.* Gary, Jason, and instructors from
the Lodge will teach you on-stream how to read water, how to present
dry flies and nymphs, and how to tailor your casting to particular
situations.
Sunday:
Go on the stream with guides from the Pere Marquette River Lodge
to put all of your newly honed skills to use! Included in the school
is a half-day guided trip with our experienced guides, two anglers
per guide.
Included in the School:
- Lodging for two nights,
breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday, breakfast and lunch on
Sunday.

GARY BORGER has been a fly fisher since 1955, and since
1972 has taught classes and lectured internationally on all aspects
of fly fishing for trout and salmon. A freelance writer and photographer
and an active member of the Outdoor Writer's Association of America,
Gary is also Midwest Field Editor for Fly Fisherman magazine,
Editor at Large for the Virtual Fly Shop, and Fly Fishing Columnist
for North American Fisherman. He has written five best-selling books
on fly fishing: Nymphing, Naturals,
the Borger Color System, Designing Trout Flies,
and Presentation.
JASON
BORGER began fly fishing at the age of two. When Jason was
ten, he began professional production fly tying. His first nationally-published
article on fly tying appeared when he was thirteen (in Fly Tyer
magazine). At age sixteen, Jason began working with his father,
Gary, on the Skills of Fly Fishing video series. His screen work
has since encompassed subject matter ranging from conservation to
casting.
