NAKNEK River Camp

July 26th - August 2nd, only three spots left.

August 2nd - August 9th  Sorry this trip is sold out. However we are taking reservations for 2009.

7 Days (Saturday-Saturday) based on the Naknek River in Katmai National Park

Cost $1795. per person

Includes: Lodging, Food, Boats, Gas, Guides and Transportation to and from from King Salmon to the Naknek River Camp

Excludes: Transportation from your home to King Salmon           Alaska Fishing License and Alcohol

During the first week of August  there are King Salmon, Sockeye, Silvers, Rainbow Trout, Grayling and Brook Trout. Our main goal is to target the world class Rainbows. The smolt migration will be going on. But around each corner awaits a different species providing every angler their choice and opportunity to search for which ever game they prefer.

As we make base camp at the head of the Naknek River in the Katmai National Park, at the Naknek River Camp. World class Rainbow trout will be ambushing smolt right in front of your cabins as the migration takes them down river out to open sea. You can fish right in front of our lodge sun up to sun down (roughly 22.5hrs. of daylight). We will also be visiting the world famous Brooks River and falls to fish with and photograph the Brown Bears. Day trips out to photograph and fish Margo Creek, Big Creek. Then maybe after dinner take a trip to town and hear some of the local live music.

Our 2007 Alaskan adventure was a huge success. Here are a few photos that show you where we went, who we went with, what we did when we got there and how we did it. We had a great time this year. Everyone caught plenty of fish. We only broke three rods. Nobody was eaten by a bear. :)

This is where it begins each and every morning. We headed back down to the water with great expectations of the day to come. For some of us it was the that one big fish. Others had that one perfect picture in mind. Not once did anyone say their expectations weren't met

Less than thirty minutes into our trip Uber's third cast landed him this beautiful rainbow right in front on base camp.

Arnold show's off another one of the many Brooks rainbows he caught on film this trip amongst the bears. Arnie, don't try to scare off anymore bears that are sizing you up...My heart can't take it. :)

Judy was a real trooper being the only female on the trip. She showed all the boys how to rodeo Sockeye Northern Michigan style.

Nolan shows off with the morning catch of Sockeye before we head out to have our hand at some more Rainbow Trout.

Getting back to the main boardwalk from the upper river can be a sketchy maneuver alone. Even as a group the walk through Bearassic Park will test the nerves of any man or women.

Just another one of the many bears hanging out eating fish along our walk.

The falls are a breathtaking scene to be remembered for ever. The bears always seem so mesmerizing, be it from the viewing platform or the river.

From the river it tends to add a little excitement, huh Jack.

Jack's first time in Alaska, his first fish and his first time with the bears. He says it'll be his last time with the bears. That's  O.K. buddy, we are headed to the Bahamas in November. They don't have any bears there.  Just sharks. :)
