River Bank Restoration Project, Come Help Conservation Resource Alliance and the Boy scouts of America are performing a river bank restoration project here on the PM. If your troop would like to participate in this project please contact Joe T at askjoet@yahoo.com

Proposed Itinerary:

The PMRL will provide a Porta-Poti, camping area and bonfire/wood behind the main lodge. Classes such as entomology, fly tying and casting will be offered throughout the weekend free of charge to the Boy scouts for their work here on the property. Food service can be provided for a nominal fee. The schedule below is a rough draft and may change depending upon suggestions and concerns.

Friday afternoon / evening arrival, set up campsite

Introductions, Discussions upcoming day’s project and events

Create Teams, Dinner, Bonfire, Marshmallows

Saturday Breakfast 7:00-8:30am

9:00 Introductions

9:15 Break up in to teams hand out job assignments

9:30 Start River Bank project

12:30 Lunch

1:30 River bank project

Rotate teams into entomology classes on the water 1/2hr session

2:30 Start rotating teams through fly tying classes in lodge dining hall

4:00 break out for the day

5:00 Dinner

7:00 Bonfire / Smores

Sunday Breakfast 7:00-8:30am

9:00 Break up into teams

9:15 Casting lessons in the parking lot – depending on weather and number of volunteers and gear available possibly get kids casting in the river.

12:00 suggestions / depart for home.

Lodging: 10 bedroom Lodge, sleeps up to 34 people. All double rooms have small kitchenettes. Book the entire lodge and the banquet hall is included.

Banquet Hall: daily and weekend rental available. Tables and chairs included.

Food Service:

Buffet or Plated Meals can be pre-arranged for service at the lodge.

Local establishments with in 5 miles.

Outdoor grill available if you decide to bring your own food.
