Meet our Guides (click name for picture and
bio):
Casey Hefferan Young Casey walked into my fly shop one day with a Platt Map, four friends and a whole bunch of legal questions in regard to access of public water surrounded by private land. Astonished I looked at the young man and asked his age. He replied with "12 WHY?" I was just so taken by his maturity and direct questions and answers. He had all the answers he just wanted confirmation that his plans for the day were legal. Ever since then Casey has been commercially tying flies for the shop. He started working behind the counter when he was 14. Since then Casey has been teaching casting lessons, putting on fly tying lessons, attending trades shows as well as rowing for a couple of donated float trips. The summer of 2009 I took Casey to Montana with me and some friends as our camp "Hey Boy" (you know: hey boy go do this, hey boy go do that) Casey rowed a 16' Achilles with 7 guys gear piled on down 59 miles of the smith river along with two sets of rapids with out a hitch. I watched him stand by a couple of guides one day on the Madison and go one for one with two other guides out of Big Sky, Tim & Mike. Just this spring March 2011, (at the age of 19) Casey bought himself a new Hyde drift boat and is beginning his guiding career. This Man can fish with anybody any where I give you my word on that. Give him a chance.
Cheers, Frank |
